Salmon leather remains an underground material in the watch world, yet it possesses every quality of an exceptional leather: a unique natural scale grain, surprising suppleness, and remarkable resistance to wear.

Its distinguishing feature is its origin: every hide is sourced from food industry by-products in France. No animal is farmed for its skin — this is a material fully upcycled from existing supply chains, in a genuinely circular and responsible approach.

The result: a leather with fine, regular scales reminiscent of traditional exotic skins (python, alligator) while offering an ethical, local and sustainable alternative.

French artisanal craftsmanship

Our Squama leather comes from a partner French tannery, based in the Lyon region, specialised in marine leathers. The vegetable tanning process, carried out in France, follows the traditions of fine leather goods: long duration, artisanal know-how, control of every step.

This process gives salmon leather its unique properties:
